Rat Root

"Rat Root" is the more commonly used Canadian Cree name for Calamus. It is thought that Calamus cause muscle relaxation and sleepiness. This root is also known to reduce swelling and kill cancer cells.

Canadian Cree use Calamus to treat issues with:

Ulcers.

Gas.

Upset stomach.

Colic.

Increasing appetite.

Arthritis.

Headache.

Memory problems.

Hemorrhoids.

Earache.

Strokes.

Skin disorders.
